"[...] a photograph of the class of 1944 to 1946 a month or so before they left school for industry or College.  Inadvertently the original was torn into four pieces when, many years ago, my mother decided to have a sort out.  I managed to salvage two of the pieces and splice them together.  All the boys can be clearly seen and I have identified most of them.  At the end of the first year some boys left and were replaced by boys from other classes. staff, they gave us the best possible start to our engineering careers."
