These photos were taken by Derek Johnson, John Whitmore, and Alan J Jones.
There are some more photos of the school taken on the
September 2002 Reunion tour of the school
Derek Johnson also went to have a look at the
old school buildings in Moorland Road.
In 2005 the school changed its name again with a certain deja vu. Front of the school - September 2001

Thanks to John Whitmore for this photo of work on the new entrance. Don Henshall said in Jan 2002, "I passed the school and noticed the new steelwork structure which resembles the outline of the prow of a liner pointing up to the sky and which is jutting out of the old frontage!!! The most regrettable part of all is that the design seems to be based upon the Ceramica structure in the centre of Burslem, which was intended to be the City's/town's millennium effort ...". See here for a comparison of Ceremica with the front of Haywood High.
Ceramica is now finished having secured the extra funds required to complete it and is open to the public.
